Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We studied an assist system for improving gait by electrical stimulation based on the recognition result of a neural network. The stimulated walking showed larger accelerations in upward and forward directions than those of walking without the stimulation. The stimulated walking showing different characteristics made the recognition rate worse. In order to adapt a neural network to the changed gait by the stimulation, real time learning of neural network is required. The influence of stimulation on gait and a learning algorithm were verified and the improved gait, and a higher recognition compared with a conventional method were found.
