Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we studied a figure education system to learn about fundamental linear figures for visually impaired persons. The easy figure, which consists of a line segment and its combination, is virtually expressed by the movement sense of localized sound on a virtual sound screen. The figure education system employs this technique in combination with the pen input tactile guide. To confirm the performance of the input interface, and the pattern recognition, we conducted experiments with artificially visually impaired persons. Results showed that the subjects correctly answered the intended figure.
