Abstract(in English) Rapid growth of traffic and signaling volume in mobile networks is provisioned owing to smartphones. The number of M2M terminals will also increase rapidly and the signaling volume will increase more. This means efficient network resource utilization is mandatory in future mobile networks. Recently, network virtualization technologies and scale out techniques are becoming more important and ETSI NFV also studies carrier network function virtualization technologies. In this paper, multi EPC deployment architecture using virtualization technologies is proposed with which operators should be able to optimize network resource utilization for M2M services as M2M terminals have different characteristics compared with ordinal handset or smartphones. We also describe about EPC selection mechanism which enables various terminals, such as smartphones and M2M terminals, to connect to appropriate EPC core servers. And performance evaluations are also decribed in which we evaluate signaling volume for switching GTP flow to appropriate eNodeBs/S-GWs/P-GWs.
