Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In MANETs, when a node accesses to the service provider node to utilize the service in the network, the address of the service provider node is required as service information, which consists of the address of the service provider node and service name provided by the service provider node. We have proposed the service discovery scheme using mobile agents for MANETs. In this scheme, mobile agents collect and disseminate service information while migrating from a node to another node in the network. In this paper, we introduce the mobile agent-based service discovery scheme to the heterogeneous MANET environment where there are different networks and show the effectiveness in terms of the service dissemination time and the overhead through simulation experiments.
