Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have been developing a New Generation Children Tracking System using the Bluetooth MANET. The system is constituted with tags and Android terminals. In the developing system, Android terminals communicate with each other using Bluetooth and configure a Bluetooth MANET. Each terminal has to perform the discovery and connection procedures in order to communicate with neighboring terminals. We found the following two difficulties when we implemented the Bluetooth MANET with the Android API. First, Android terminals cannot discover neighboring terminals which are performing the discovery procedure. Next, Android terminals cannot connect neighboring terminals which are performing the discovery procedure. In this paper, we propose a method for effective discovery and connection in Bluetooth MANET of Android terminals to alleviate these difficulties. Through simulation experiments, we show that the proposed method is effective and clarify the relation among thenumber of connections, node density and node velocity in Bluetooth MANET.
