Abstract(in English) Heterostructures of CuO/ZnO synthesized on the Au seed layers from the aqueous solution of ZnCl_2 and that of CuCl showed aggregates of CuO nanorods (NRs) covering the volcano-like ZnO NRs. Both the CuO/ZnO superstrate and ZnO/CuO substrate structures synthesized from the aqueous solution of Zn(CH_3COO)_22H_2O and that of Cu(NO_3)_22H_2O exhibited smooth interfaces. Especially, the latter showed a rectifying behavior on its current-votage characteristic.
