Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) If there exists an in-home driving simulator, it enables licensed or unlicensed drivers to learn various driving behaviors as much as they want. For this purpose, we need to investigate in advance whether (1) different driving behaviors between expert and non-expert drivers can be observed, and (2) acquiring driving skill in the simulator lead to skilled driving in the real world. This study investigates (1) by using our developed driving simulator. Licensed driving experts and non-experts participated our slalom task and lane-change task where we recorded their gaze, driving behavior, and vehicle behavior. Results show their salient differences in particular on the gaze information.
