Abstract(in English) In the real world, which is an unpredictably and dynamically changing environment, the human visual system needs to predict complete information from incompletely obtained visual images. As the incompleteness, occlusion is one of a main topic of visual processing. However, few reserches are tackling to recognize occluded shapes in limited computation time. This paper, therefore, proposes a shape retrieval method using occluded contours which is available in limited computation time based on Matsuda's shape retrieval approach.
