Abstract(in English) | Fourier-encoded synchronous OCDM (FE-SOCDM) signals can be simultaneously decoded by digital signal processing (DSP). Consequently various impairment compensation schemes can be utilized. In this technical report, estimating chromatic dispersion characteristics of transmission fiber with pilot symbols exploiting characteristic of Fourier code, and compensating the dispersion characteristics by utilizing a frequency-domain-equalization (FDE) technique with DSP are proposed and discussed based on numerical simulation results. The simulation results have shown that the 5Gbaud QPSK × 4 channel FE-SOCDM transmission using the 4-chip Fourier code with the proposed FDE scheme using pilot symbols can suppress error vector magnitude (EVM) less than 10 % even after 50 km single-mode-fiber transmission, whereas the transmission limit without the proposed scheme was 20 km. |
