Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, for multi-hop wireless networks, we propose a node placement method based on network robustness. In the proposed method, at first, the transmission rate between two nodes is calculated from SINR and setting parameters of IEEE 802.11 DCF. With the calculated transmission rate, we construct a Laplacian matrix and the network robustness is calculated. Then, we formulate the node placement problem as the minimization problem for the network robustness. We derive the optimization problem by using a genetic algorithm. In numerical examples, we investigate the effectiveness of our proposed method by evaluating the robustness of the multi-hop wireless network that are designed with our proposed method. Moreover, by comparing the performance of the proposed method with that of the random node placement, we show that our proposed method can improve the network robustness.
