Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Cloud computing offers on demand and pay-per-use type of services, in which users can utilize virtual machines only when they need computational power. In this field, "lead time" of virtual machines determines agility and flexibility of services the users made on the cloud. Hence, lead time of virtual machines are important factor of service providing, provisioning and deciding monitoring time scale. In this paper, we propose a reduction technique that reduces lead time in case of booting many virtual machines at the same time. The proposed method aggregates the intersections of virtual machine images to reduce I/O amount by which it reduces lead time. We experimentally observe how much it reduces lead time.
