Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The current Internet architecture is designed for host-to-host communications, while information retrieval currently occupies most of Internet traffic. This fundamental mismatch leads to the requirements on the design of a network, which can accommodate the growing tussles among different communities in cyber space, and realize efficient information dissemination and robustness under DoS (Denial of Service) attacks. To satisfy these requirements, we isolate information based on communities, treat community information objects as the first-class citizen and devise community-oriented information-centric network architecture (COIN) that naturally and efficiently provides community-based communications. In COIN, users can search the favorite communities, form/join/leave a community communication structure that natively supports community communication, and publish/retrieve data to/from the communities.
