Analysis of Transmission Error due to Packet Collision between End Devices in Low-Power Ubiquitous Network using Spread Spectrum

Abstract(in English) Wireless sensor networks attract much attention for realizing safe and environment-friendly society by monitoring the society and environments. Since the available power for each sensor node is small, multi-hop transmission is required. Cluster-tree networks that can manage the maximum number of hops are suitable for constructing ad-hoc networks with large number of nodes. In the cluster-tree network employing CSMA/CA, transmission error happens due to packet collision caused by hidden terminals, which is remarkable between end devices. In this paper, packet transmission error caused by such hidden terminals in a cluster-tree wireless network employing SS-CSMA/CA is analyzed. The effect by changing Spreading Factor of the SS-CSMA/CA is discussed from theoretical calculation results.
