Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Targeted microbubbles which can attach specifically to the objective site would be applied to the contrast agent in molecular imaging and the drug carrier in drug delivery system. For practical use of the microbubbles, a method of evaluation for specific adsorption of microbubbles using quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) is proposed. In this report, streptavidin layer as the targeting site was formed on the QCM electrode with Biotin-SAM. Moreover, biotinylated microbubbles were attached to the targeting site via streptavidin-biotin bond. Frequencies of f_1 and f_2 were determined where conductance of QCM is half of maximum. The changes of f_1 and f_2 caused by specific adsorption of bubbles were measured. Un-biotinylated microbubbles and biotinylated lipid without bubbles also were examined as controls. Comparison of those results possibly indicated that the change of f_1 and f_2 was affected by microbubbles and by the specific adsorption of phospholipid respectively.
