Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In BAN (Body Area Network) systems, radio frequency interference among the systems often happens because those systems are attached on human bodies and move around freely so that it is quite likely that one network can enter the area of communication of the other. Autonomous interference avoidance methods, with which each network changes its operation frequency independently, have been well studied. Such autonomous methods, however, are not based upon cooperated protocols, and thus they tend to provoke other interference after networks change their operation frequencies. In this study, we studied a cooperated interference avoidance method that is based upon a network ID of each BAN and a pre-determined protocol among the networks. As a result, the packet transmission delay caused by the interference was reduced and the limitation of BAN density was raised by 1.5-4 times.
