Abstract(in English) This paper proposes mediation robots as social media for increasing conversation opportunity of elderly. Recent social media with PC, smartphones, and tablet devices yield a digital divide to elderly due to inconvenient and complicate GUI. As a result, elderly has lack of opportunity for gaining the benefit of social media communication. In order to tackle this problem, this paper focuses on mediation robots as interface to social media. Comment on social media used as robots utterance sentence, further, utterance of the elderly is collected and recognized, and posted to social media. In order to verify the usefulness of our system, we conduct a user study for comparing the number of conversation opportunities under some situations: the viewing alone, with a robot or multiple robots.
