Abstract(in English) | In order to increase resilience against propagation gain variations in wireless communications, space-time trellis codes have been developed. The encoder encodes the transmitted symbol sequences of the transmitted frames based on the trellis state transition of the code. The structure of the state transition of the code decides code performances. The frames are often transmitted over variable transmission channel conditions. In this study, both the transmitter and the receiver are assumed to have the knowledge of the transmission channel conditions. The several state transition structures of the codes are combined into the state transition structure of one frame. The state transition structure having high error resilience are assigned to the symbols transmitted under bad transmission conditions, and the one having high transmission efficiency are assigned to the symbols transmitted under good transmission conditions. The decoder decodes the symbols of the received frame based on the state transition structures assigned to the symbols. Throughput performances of the schemes are estimated using computer simulations. |
