Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose the PAT (Privacy Aware Transformation) method and its application. The PAT method is a new technique to analyze data with less risk of revealing privacy information. The PAT method is an user side transformation mechanism so that the user could attain the benefit of disclosing the analytic result as well as the user could restore the original data later. The method is designed to transform data with less computational complexity and suits for small devices such as smartphones, sensors or home devices with less computer power. In this paper, we also introduce an application of PAT method for a location service such as Pay As You Drive. The application aims to calculate total distance from location history without revealing original data.
