Abstract(in English) | Recent rapid growth of Internet-based data traffic strongly demands for large capacity and economic network infrastructures, and it drives intense research and development of 100Gbit/s-per-channel wavelength division multiplexing transmission system. Polarization division multiplexed QPSK is promising modulation format to realize 100 Gbit/s/channel modulation format, and attracting much attention. In this paper, we will introduce promising function structure to realize 100-Gbit/s high speed digital coherent signal processor, and its performance of optical signal-to-noise power ratio tolerance. Also, we will talk about performance evaluation results measured in real field-installed fiber environment such as fast recovery characteristics in optical protection configuration, and polarization mode dispersion tolerance. |
