Abstract(in English) | The purpose of this study was to examine validity of the basic impression scale and the complex impression scale for auditory presence which proposed based on our previous works. We conducted a subjective impression evaluation experiment for the contents reproduced by the 22.2 multichannel sound system, with two experimental factors of reproduction bandwidth and listening position. The reproduction bandwidth conditions were full band(original), high-pass filtering of 300Hz or more(low cut), and low-pass filtering of 4kHz or less(high cut), and the listening position conditions were central and peripheral. As source sound materials of the stimulus to evaluate, three kinds of music originally recorded by NHK were used; classical music, jazz, and contemporary music. Participants were 20 female with normal hearing. As a result, differences of complex impressions between the three bandwidth conditions at the central listening position were somewhat small as a whole, compared with our previous work in which space and movement of sounds were manipulated by mixing. However, in classical music and jazz, impressions decreased under the two limited bandwidth conditions compared with the full band condition, though these were almost the same under any condition in contemporary music. At the peripheral listening position, differences of impressions were even smaller as a whole. |
