Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we developed an experimental system with a wide-view HMD and an eye-movement tracker. The system was conducted for restricting arbitrary area of the visual field, so that small black shields displayed on HMD screen are controlled in synchronization with the eye movement in real time for restricting only the specific area of the visual field. The dynamic relationships between some parts of the visual field could be clarified with the way-finding experiment using the system. In our test experiment, the subjects was given a task to walk through a maze in the virtual space wearing the developed HMD system under different conditions that their central visual field was restricted artificially with the developed system.
