Acquisition of Elevation Knowledge in a Virtual Environment

Abstract(in English) Environmental slant has several influences on spatial navigation. We investigated how elevation knowledge are acquired and utilized for navigation in a desktop virtual environment. Participants with high sense-of-direction showed good knowledge of elevation and higher navigational performance, suggesting elevation knowledge facilitates spatial navigation.
