Wind Speed Prediction System Using Complex-valued Neural Network and Frequency Component of Wind Speed

Abstract(in English) In recent years, large-scale wind turbines have been introduced. However the generation power fluctuates widely depending on wind speed changing, and it affects frequency of supplied power of power system. In this paper, we propose a wind speed prediction system using complex-valued neural network and frequency component of observed wind speed data as a input information. Usefulness of the proposed system is demonstrated by several computer simulations.
