Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the model, each object of recognition corresponds to the each of functional columns of the hundreds of thousands making up Wernicke's area. In order to recognize an object, neurons within the corresponding column must fire continuously at least 0.1 second. The meaning of the object is the subliminal firing of the less than 0.1 seconds of neurons within related columns. Here, the relation among columns is the memory by learning. Because of the context dependent firing of neurons within related columns, the firing in the same column is not necessary the same meaning. The qualia in a meaning are interpreted as the subliminal firing of neurons within the related columns in the sensory association area.
