Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | On-off keying, which only uses two conditions of optical intensity has been used for optical fiber communication systems. Recently, optical multilevel modulation schemes are widely studied, where optical phase, or optical phase and intensity is modulated in multilevel manner. Multilevel modulation can realize higher-spectral efficiency. In this paper, we report basic techniques including modulation and equalization methods which are needed to realize optical multilevel modulations. |
