Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We investigate the impact of pulse shaping and transceiver imperfections by numerical simulation of 127Gbit/s DP-QPSK WDM transmission with RZ, NRZ and Nyquist pulse formats. As the transceiver imperfections, we consider the electrical analog bandwidths and the extinction ratio of the IQ modulator. The transmitter bandwidth is found to be critical for NRZ and Nyquist pulse formats. We have found the extinction ratio of the IQ modulator affects the performance of the transmitter-side nonlinear compensation algorithm. Also, we have confirmed the receiver-side nonlinear compensation algorithm has applicability to pulse formats and tolerance to the transmitter imperfections.
