Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A planar-type wideband MIMO antenna using leaf-shaped bowtie dipole and slot antennas is designed, and its characteristics are revealed by the FDTD analysis. In the first place, leaf-shaped bowtie dipole and slot antennas are designed such that the antennas operate over the frequency band of 7-10GHz. For the case where these antennas are arranged on the same substrate with the spacings of 30mm and 12mm (0.7 and 0.28 wavelengths in free space at 7GHz, respectively), antenna characteristics are evaluated by the FDTD analysis. From the simulated results, it is observed that the beam-tilt is caused in the H-plane patterns of the dipole antenna by the presence of the ground plane of the slot antenna. A structure that can reduce the effect of the beam-tilt is proposed, and its effectiveness is confirmed by the simulated results.
