Abstract(in English) | Delay Tolerant Networks (DTNs) are networks that enable us to exchange information by tolerating a long delay time. In this report, we consider DTNs realized by epidemic transmissions, in which information is spread by wireless transmission between nodes and mobility of the nodes. While a DTN is generally used for communication between a pair of specific nodes, it can be used to transmit information to unspecified nodes in a specific area. For example, such situations can be seen in information delivery in a local area and that in disaster situations. In such cases, the destination of information is not a specific node but a specific space; therefore, information has to be floated in the destination space so that nodes entering the space later get the information as well as nodes being there. In this report, we consider to realize information floating on one-dimensional street by epidemic transmissions with spatial transmission control for suppressing useless information spreading. We theoretically analyze the mean duration time of information floating in this situation. From the numerical results, we discuss how the duration time is affected by the length of the destination space, the transmission range, and the density of nodes. |
