Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the world, use of the area where a ground infrastructure is undeveloped, and marine satellite communication is expanded by expansion of broadband service in recent years. On the other hand, in Japan, it has a new appreciation of the necessity for the satellite communication as an emergency telecommunication method ignited by the Great East Japan Earthquake which occurred on March 11, 2011. Under such circumstances, in the satellite communication earth station, a system which can be used more efficiently and simply is desired. This paper describes technology trends about the technology adopted as the latest satellite communication earth station focusing on antenna technology, high frequency amplifying technique, and modulation-and-demodulation technology from a viewpoint of small weight saving and electric power efficiency improvement and frequency effective use.
