RTT Fairness of Storage Accesses over TCP/IP Networks

Abstract(in English) In cloud computing environment, iSCSI protocol is widely used for remote storage accesses. Over long network, TCP implementations do not provide fair performance. Thus, iSCSI RTT fairness can be considered to be insufficient over long network. In this work, we present evaluation of RTT fairness of iSCSI storage access over long delay networks. After the evaluation, we propose a method for improving RTT fairness by optimizing K, which is recovery time of congestion window size of CUBIC TCP. Our evaluation has demonstrated that our proposed method has been able to improve RTT fairness of iSCSI performance.
