Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To stream multi-view video over wireless networks, the multi-view video needs to reduce traffic. However, a simple way of traffic reduction in the multi-view video induces low video quality. To reduce the traffic, maintaining the video quality, we propose a method for multi-view video streaming over wireless networks. Our proposal exploits wireless inter-camera communication and time and spatial domain. Each camera overhears video frames from other cameras' communication, and encodes own video frames with the overheard video frames. After the encoding, our proposal removes redundant information between cameras. Evaluations using JMVC encoder and bench mark video sequences, which are provided by MERL, show that our proposal acheives traffic quality compared to a naive method. For example, the traffic is 47% lower than that of naive when PSNR is 38dB.
