Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The characteristic of an arc discharge phenomenon is influenced by many external conditions, such as gas pressure, gases, and circuit current. After taking these external conditions into consideration, the characteristic of an arc discharge phenomenon can describe from the thermodynamic and transport properties (electrical conductivity, viscosity, thermal conductivity, etc.). In this report, we calculated particle compositions and thermodynamic and transport properties (electrical conductivity, viscosity and specific heat) of arc occurring between Ag contact pairs in CO_2 atmosphere. The calculation result was compared with the particle compositions and thermodynamic and transport properties in air atmosphere. The following results are obtained. Focus on metallic particles and electron; the particle compositions are independent of the atmosphere gas. The electrical conductivity is independent of the atmosphere gas. The viscosity in CO_2 atmosphere is smaller than the case of air atmosphere. Temperature at which the specific heat at constant pressure is relative maximum is depending on the atmosphere gas.
