Abstract(in English) | This paper proposes a relay placement optimization methodology for multi-hop relay networks in practical environments. By this method, we can estimate the minimum number of relay nodes to cover all sensor nodes in which locations of sensor and sink nodes are pre-assigned and packet loss rate can be minimized. In this method, we simply verify the candidate locations of relay nodes based on three dimensional data of environment geometry and locations of sink and sensor nodes, and then select the relay locations where all sensor nodes are connected to the network. For relay communication schemes, we utilize simple TDD relaying scheme and MIMO two-way relay employing network coding scheme. Consequently, the numerical results show that the proposed method can effectively minimize packet loss rate and delay, especially when two-way relaying scheme is applied. |
