Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Orders of magnitude reduction in size and energy dissipation is necessary to implement ubiquitous sensors. IC technology that has been employed to this end is approaching the end of Moore's Law and paradigm shifts to new sets of technologies have been emerging. Inductive-coupling chip link and electromagnetic-coupling module link both utilizing near-field wireless communications will be presented as examples of the emerging technologies, as well as future perspectives on integrated systems that aim for 3-dimensional integration and energy efficient electronics.
