Cross-Correlation of m-sequences of Different Periods for Code Division Multiple Access(Poster Presentation)

Abstract(in English) Three-valued distribution of the cross-correlation between m-sequences of period 2^<2l>-1 and shorter period 2^l-1 was found in the literature.In this paper, the pair is examined from viewpoint of code-division multiple access (CDMA). We define the even and odd cross-correlation functions for direct-sequence CDMA (DS-CDMA) and study the cross-correlation of the m-sequences. It is shown that the values of even and odd cross-correlation of m-sequences are normal-distributed and for l=3, the absolute values of the even cross-correlation of each pair of m-sequences are 1, 3, 5 and 7 occurring 34, 21, 7 and 1 times, respectively.
