Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A visible-light paper artifact-metric system authenticates a piece of paper using its individual pattern of entangled fibers formed during the papermaking process. Conventional researches already confirmed that the correlation coefficients of the luminance images of papers obtained by reflective visible light are suitable to achieve enough accuracy of authentication. This paper applies the Locality-Sensitive Hashing method, which is an approximate nearest neighbor search technique, to construct a high-speed 1 to N matching, or identification system for the visible-light paper artifact-metrics.
