Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Baroumand et. al proposed the method called WDBM for restoring a corrupted image by using the correlation within the image. In WDBM, the most similar region for each block is searched and its coordinates are embedded into the current block. If a block is corrupted, pixels of the similar block are copied into the block. However, WDBM is difficult to restore whole area of the corrupted block. In this paper, we modified the position of the block for embedding similar region information to improve image restoration performance. This method can restore the whole area of the corrupted block with a high probability. Therefore, the restoration rate is improved by our method.
