Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) These days, the demand on searching underwater area with underwater sensor network is increasing. However, we cannot apply terrestrial wireless network protocols directly for this challenge because of the high attenuation and absorption of water that affect radio and optical waves. We have established an integration method between localization and routing which were discussed separately so far by simply extending control packets exchanged for localization. The target of this work is efficient setup of the network. In this paper, we enhance the robustness of routing by specifying strict packet forwarding rules to transfer data packets to the sink successfully. Then, we propose an active localization in which each sensor node actively starts localization process in a specific situation. Finally, we show the effectiveness of the proposed method by computer simulation.
