Abstract(in English) It is expected that application of MU-MIMO (Multi-User Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) will improve performance of wireless mesh networks. SU-MIMO (Single-User MIMO) cannot always achieve capacity enhancement by the spatial multiplexing. By contrast, MU-MIMO always achieves it because of the possibility of multiplexing packets regardless of the receiving node of them. In the past studies, we focus the area transmission efficiency that indicates the number of successfully transmitting packets per an area and per a time in the grid topology network. In this paper, we extend the analysis of the area transmission efficiency in the network where nodes are uniformly located. From a result, the area transmission efficiency of SU-MIMO can be superior to that of MU-MIMO when the number of waiting packets is large. Because MU-MIMO needs more area than SU-MIMO to avoid packet collisions. In addition, if the number of neighbor nodes is large, performance of SU-MIMO is degraded because of the decrease of the multiplexing efficiency. On the other hand, that of MU-MIMO is hardly degraded.
