Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) At present, a lesson of large scale disasters has clarified the need for disaster response robot, and to accelerate the development of disaster response robots, the standardization is important. However, but to the complexity of the environment and the usage of the response robots, it is not easy to apply the conventional standard methods, specification standard and performance standard, for the robot development. To overcome this, Standard Performance Test Method (STM) has been used in the US, where STM provides concrete measurement of performance but not provides the value itself in order to consider the diversity of the robots. In this paper, by referring to the standardization in the space systems, the standardization of the response robots are investigated from the point of view of both the engineering and management and consideration to accelerate disaster response robots development is carried out.
