Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Integrated Manufacturing System (IMS) has been used widely. ISO 11161 is provided for IMS, which tell us to assess the risk at the interference of machines. It means that the new procedure for IMS is required. The residual risk exists, after the risk reduction. Then supporting protective device/system (SPD/S) is prepared for the residual risk mainly from the human error. The purpose of study is to propose following items in order to perform the risk assessment and risk reduction for IMS: (1) the procedure for performing risk assessment, and (2) risk reduction by SPD/S. The case study for IMS (forging presses, industrial robots and belt- conveyers) has done. Through this study, some difficult points are found out. In order to overcome them, the authors propose the used of "Specifications Table," which clarifies the relation of machines.
