Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study we carried out a performance analysis of CPML (Convolutional PML) for FDTD (Finite-Difference Time-Domain) method in cylindrical coordinate system. To be able to analyze optical fiber structures we introduced finite out-of-plane wavenumbers into the FDTD formulations. The CPML was placed perpendicular to the radial axis and designed to absorb diverging or converging waves. We investigated the dependence of reflectivity upon CPML's constitutive parameters (к and б) for various curvature radii and the out-of-plane wavenumbers. As a result of the study we found the reflectivity gradually increases along with the increase of the wavenumber. We also confirmed that the absorption performance is of the similar order or just worse for converging waves than the diverging waves.
