| Abstract(in English) | Integrating actuators into wireless sensor networks is a next step innovation. Building and Energy Management System (BEMS) is one of the practical examples of such sensor and actuator networks. BEMS consists of various sensors such as electrical power, temperature, humidity, illuminance, infrared radiation etc. and various building facilities such as illumination lamps, air conditioners, exhaust fans etc. These facilities gather environmental information from neighbor sensors and operate themselves in order to achieve target condition. Therefore, grouping mechanisms are required to find neighbor sensors and facilities each other. In this paper, we propose a new autonomous grouping mechanism employing illuminance sensors that sense illumination lamps. In the proposed mechanisms, each device senses a status of illumination lamps periodically, and exchanges status change information between neighbor device when the status of illumination lamps changes. As the results, each device can estimate the neighbor devices that find a similar status change pattern of illumination lamps. From the demonstration experiment, we can show that the proposed mechanisms can make groups autonomously according to the illumination lamps. |
