Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Such as minimization, cost reduction, and higher functionalization of sensors, the evolving wireless sensor network technologies are influencing more strongly especially to precision agriculture. In precision agriculture, environmental sensing is very important element. Now, in order to construct environmental sensing in a tea garden, we considered to introduce a sensor network. However, because it becomes an agricultural sparse wireless sensor network(ASWSN), it causes the problem that some sensor node cannot transmit with another node by ad-hoc transmission because of their farther distance. Additionally, it also causes necessity to ensure the enough power supply. In this paper, we develop the low-cost sensor node prototype using Arduino. It realizes power supply from solar and wind, and realized low-power Data MULE using either an ultrasonic distance sensor or a 315 MHz transceiver on sensor node's wakeup. Finally, we evaluate about the driving time by simulation, and report the result on installing in real-world outdoor experiment.
