Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, a novel advanced planar antenna with polarization switching and detection functions for space modulation systems is proposed. The proposed antenna consists of a dual-polarized slot-ring array antenna and PSK modulation/demodulation circuit. The PSK modulation/demodulation circuit consists of microstrip lines, half-wavelength slot-ring, and two diodes. In the case of transmission, the PSK modulation/demodulation circuit inverts the phase according to the polarity of the baseband signal. In the case of reception, the PSK modulation/demodulation circuit acts as an RF multiplier and outputs the voltages depending on polarization angles. Consequently, the proposed antenna is capable of polarization switching and detection.
