Abstract(in English) IEEE802.15.3c and IEEE802.11ad for 60 GHz band were standardized for multi gigabit wireless communications, and commercial products release is expected soon. In these standards, SISO (Single Input Single Output) communications were used, however, 10 Gbit over MIMO (Multi Input Multi Output) communications will come in the near future like IEEE802.11n upgraded from IEEE802.11a. This paper reports the received power improvement effects of RX antenna switching diversity as a part of MIMO communications. Measurement results show 4-6 dB power improvement by using 3 RX antenna image array in 1 m short range transmission on a desktop environment.
