Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An electronic spin state of nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond is expected as an promising candidate for quantum information technology and highly-sensitive nanoscale magnetometry. For implementing these applications, it is required to generate NV centers with long coherence time at an arbitrary position of a diamond substrate. Nitrogen-doped isotopically-enriched chemical vapor deposition is a powerful method to generate NV centers with long coherence time near the surface of a diamond substrate. In this work we demonstrate to control the lateral positions and density of NV centers utilizing micropatterned substrate for nitrogen-doped isotopically-enriched chemical vapor deposition. We confirmed that bright photoluminescence originating from an ensemble of NV centers is observed in the diamond thin film grown on the concave surface by measuring photoluminescence mapping and spectrum using a home-made laser confocal microscope.
