Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Usability is important to attract consumers of e-commerce site, etc. A user often re-inputs data by mistakes or by change of his/her mind. Function for Saving Inputs (FSI) saves input data on screen over some screen transitions. FSI therefore is useful for the user to re-input data more efficient. Modification of inadequate FSI after implementation may cause serious rework because FSI relates to screen transitions and business logic mutually. There is however no method to analyze and design FSI and to estimate the effectiveness at an early stage of software development. To solve this problem, a screen transition model which employs properties of FSI is proposed in this paper. A method to estimate user's effort based on the model is also proposed. We evaluate the effectiveness of our method by applying to a model of an actual e-commerce site. As the result, the expectation that user's effort becomes half by changing screen transitions in a certain case was obtained.
