Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The authors have been investigating degradation process of Au plated slip ring and Ag-Pd brush system. However, even with lubricant the lifetime was varied from about 1000 hours to almost 7000 hours in the past experiments. In these tests the lubricant was supplied only once before the test. In this test the lubricant is regularly supplied almost every 900 operation hours, and its effect is experimentally examined. The followings can be made clear. The operation more than 9000 hours is realized like the previous test. Further, from the element analysis, Au plating layer is found to have disappeared from t almost whole sliding surface. Based on the previous and present tests it can be confirmed that the regular supply of lubricant not only decreases wear of ring and brush but also prevent the Ni plating surface from the oxidation. In addition there are a ring pair with large fluctuation of the contact voltage drop and a very stable one. The reason is discussed.
