Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The interference rejection combining (IRC) receiver, which can suppress inter-cell interference, is effective in improving the cell edge user throughput. In LTE/LTE-Advanced, each receiver needs to feed back control information to eNodeB, which is based on measured channel quality, in order to perform adaptive modulation and coding (AMC), user scheduling, and precoding transmission at eNodeB. When appropriate control information for each receiver is not fed back to eNodeB, user throughput may be degraded. This is because the eNodeB performs transmission controls based on the feedback information. Therefore, especially for the IRC receiver, it is necessary to calculate the feedback information based on measurement of reception quality including the effect of interference suppression. Thus, this paper investigates calculating method of the feedback information for the IRC receiver assuming closed-loop transmit diversity/MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) multiplexing in LTE/LTE-Advanced downlink. The simulation results assuming two transmitter/receiver antenna branches and uncorrelated channel show that the effect of interference suppression for the IRC receiver does not affect the precoding matrix selection when selecting common precoding matrix for transmission bandwidth. Furthermore, even when the IRC receiver that measures the feedback information witht the effect of interference suppression, the user throughput improves compared to the conventional MMSE receiver that cannot suppress the intra-cell interference. However, when comparing the IRC receiver that measures the feedback information without the effect of interference suppression, it is shown that the user throughput improvement degrades due to incorrect feedback information. |
